Journeyman Smith Mike McClure’s Damascus and Ivory Oyster Knife is as elegant of a chef’s tool as you will find. This one-of-a-kind oyster shucker features a mosaic Damascus blade forged from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels. The laddered parquet pattern immediately grabs attention. Antique ivory scales are set on a distal tapered tang for a perfect balance in the hand. Nickel silver bolsters protect finger and bring weight to the center of the knife. By dovetailing the ivory to the bolsters, Mike ensures a gapless fit. The handle is completed with nickel silver bolts and a lanyard loop. The knife is accompanied by a hand sewn leather sheath with an elephant hide overlay so that it can be kept close at hand. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
